The main window
A tour of the ScreenSharePRO main window: your ID and password, connecting to another computer, who is connected, Quick connect, and the sidebar.
The main window does two jobs side by side: the left card shares this computer, the right card connects to another one.
ScreenSharePro- The sidebar: Saved Hosts, Clipboard History, Settings, About and Help; your account (Sign In / Sign Out) at the bottom. Click the logo to make the sidebar narrower.
- Your ID - this computer's permanent ID. Click it to copy it.
- Password - the current password for this computer. Click it to copy it; the round arrow makes a new one and disconnects anyone watching.
- Copy ID and Password - copies both as a ready-to-paste message.
- Sharing starts by itself a few seconds after ScreenSharePRO opens; this button then reads Restart Host (stop and start sharing again), or Retry if sharing could not start.
- The other computer's ID - type it or pick a saved one. The pencil names and saves it.
- Its password, and Remember password for this host.
- Connect - opens the other computer's screen in its own window.
- Connected viewers: who is watching this computer (and anyone waiting to be let in). Connected hosts: the computers you are watching.
- QUICK CONNECT - one-click tiles for computers saved with a password. Manage… opens Saved Hosts.
- The status bar: the latest message on the left (click the counter for earlier ones), and End-to-end encrypted on the right.
- Your version, then the shield (green: full control; amber: limited control - click it to enable full control) and the arrows to check for updates.

The status at the top of This computer

| Ready | Not sharing yet - sharing starts by itself shortly. |
| Sharing — ready for viewers | Anyone with your ID and password can connect. |
| Sharing — 2 watching | Two people are viewing this computer. |
| Sharing — 2 viewers, picture reduced | Your upload is shared between viewers, so each gets a lighter picture. |
| Not reachable — viewers cannot connect | This computer cannot be reached right now - check the internet connection. |
| Update required to share | Install the update shown at the top of the window. |
Closing the window
The X button hides the window to the notification area (system tray) - ScreenSharePRO keeps running so this computer stays reachable. Double-click the tray icon to bring it back. To close the app, right-click the tray icon and choose Exit. With the full install the background service may keep this computer reachable while you stay signed in - to stop anyone connecting, make a new password (the round arrow next to it) or sign out of Windows.
Tip: Do not want ScreenSharePRO running all the time? Untick Settings → General → Start ScreenSharePro when I sign in and quit it from the tray when you are done.
