What each setting on the Recording & Screenshots page does
#SettingDefaultWhat it does
1 Record every session automatically Off Starts recording the moment a session begins. When you view another computer, it records the picture you receive. When you share, it records your own screen - but only with the per-user install: on a full install the background service shares the screen, and recording your own screen is not available. The other person is always told when a viewer records the session.
2 Save recordings and screenshots to Blank (Videos\ScreenSharePro) The folder recordings (.mp4, one file per session) and screenshots (.png) are saved in. Click Browse… to choose one. Leave it blank to use your Videos\ScreenSharePro folder.
3 Format - Recordings are MP4 (H.264) video files with no sound - a session has no audio. Screenshots are PNG images and are also copied to the clipboard.

Good to know

Note: The other person is always told on screen when a session is being recorded - that notice cannot be turned off. The person sharing can also stop viewers recording at all, with Let viewers record or take screenshots on the Permissions page.

Tip: To find your files, take a screenshot and click Open folder on the notice that appears - File Explorer opens with the file selected.
