During a session

Picture quality

Choose how much bandwidth the remote picture may use for one session, and understand the messages when the connection cannot carry it.

Click Quality on the toolbar and pick one. It applies to this session only and is not saved.

Choice When to use it
Auto (default) Use whatever the computer you are viewing is set to (its Hosting setting).
Low Least bandwidth - for a slow or metered connection.
Medium A middle ground.
High Most bandwidth - the sharpest text.

Note: Choosing Low never makes the picture worse for anyone else watching the same computer: it serves the most demanding choice among its viewers.

When the connection limits the picture

If the link cannot carry what you asked for, the Quality icon turns amber and the menu's first line says why, for example "Limited to 3.1 Mbps by the connection". Sending more than the link carries loses data and makes the picture worse, not better - so ScreenSharePRO sends less.

On a struggling connection the picture may change step by step. You see a short message each time:

Message What happens
reduced motion Fewer frames per second, so the picture stays clear.
document mode Full resolution at 2 frames per second - good for reading.
cursor only The picture pauses; the pointer stays live.
Connection recovered — full quality Back to normal.

Tip: "Poor connection — waiting for a clear picture…" at the bottom means damaged frames are being held back; the last clean picture stays on screen until a good one arrives.

The person sharing chooses the default quality in Settings → Hosting (Optimize for quality / for speed). See Hosting settings.
