Multiple monitors
How viewers see a computer with more than one monitor, and how the person sharing switches which screen they see.
Viewers see one monitor at a time. The person at the shared computer chooses which - during a session from the sessions dock, or in advance in Settings.
Switch monitors during a session
- On the shared computer, while someone is connected, click the tab of the sessions dock at the edge of the screen to open it.
- Click the monitor list (it only appears on a computer with more than one monitor).
- Pick the monitor viewers should see. The change is immediate, for everyone connected.
- The monitor viewers see now, with its resolution. Click to open the list.
- Every monitor of this computer; the ticked one is shared. Pick another to switch.
- On the viewer's side, a short message names the new monitor and the window resizes to its shape.
Choose the monitor shared when sharing starts
Settings → Hosting → Monitor to share. Primary monitor is the default; the list has one entry per screen, such as "Display 2 — 2560×1440". Click Save Settings. See Hosting settings.
Note: There is no monitor switch in the viewer window: if you are viewing and need another screen, ask the person at that computer to switch it. If the chosen monitor is unplugged, the primary monitor is shared. Switching works the same with the full install, where the background service shares the screen.
