How we deliver windows & web

The Windows desktop app

The desktop client is a native Windows app that acts as both host and viewer. It runs on Windows 10, 11 and Server 2016+, and adds deeper system integration — including optional UAC and secure-desktop control through the SYSTEM session agent.

  • Native Windows desktop client (host and viewer in one)
  • Runs on Windows 10, 11 and Server 2016+ (64-bit)
  • Optional UAC / secure-desktop control on Windows

A browser client when you can't install

Sometimes you can't install software — a locked-down laptop, a shared machine, a customer's PC. The ScreenSharePRO web client runs in a modern browser, so you can host or join a session with nothing to install and nothing left behind.

  • Browser-based web client — no install required
  • Works in modern browsers such as Chrome, Edge and Firefox
  • Nothing left behind on shared or borrowed devices

More platforms on the roadmap

Today ScreenSharePRO is Windows and web. We're a small team and would rather do those two well than spread thin — additional platforms are on the roadmap, not shipping yet.

  • Windows desktop and browser client available today
  • Additional platforms planned for the future
  • Honest about what ships now versus later
FAQ

Questions about windows & web

Which platforms are supported?
ScreenSharePRO runs as a Windows desktop app (Windows 10, 11 and Server 2016+) and as a web client in any modern browser. Other platforms aren't available yet.
Do I need to install anything?
For the desktop app, yes — it installs on Windows via an EXE or MSI. The web client needs no install; just open it in a modern browser to host or join a session.
Is the web client as capable as the desktop app?
The web client covers the core remote access experience — host or join, view and control — right in the browser. The Windows desktop app adds deeper system integration such as UAC and secure-desktop control.
