FAQ

Common questions

Is ScreenSharePRO a good Zoho Assist alternative?
It is if you mainly support Windows PCs. ScreenSharePRO controls Windows 10, 11 and Server 2016+, including UAC prompts and admin windows, and you can connect from the Windows app or straight from a browser. Check it against your own requirements - every feature is free to try during early access.
Is there a free alternative to Zoho Assist?
ScreenSharePRO has a free plan for personal use, and every feature is available at no cost during early access. No card is needed.
Do I need to install anything?
The computer you want to control runs the ScreenSharePRO Windows app, installed once with the EXE installer or the MSI. The person connecting can use the Windows app or open the web app in Chrome, Edge or Firefox without installing anything.
Does ScreenSharePRO work on Mac or Linux?
The computer you control must run Windows 10, 11 or Server 2016+. You can connect to it from a modern browser on any operating system, and native apps for other platforms are on the roadmap.
How are ScreenSharePRO sessions secured?
Sessions are encrypted WebRTC connections that go peer-to-peer and use a relay only when a direct path is blocked. Session codes expire, can be password-protected, and the host decides who may use the keyboard and mouse.
